Expectations for Art and Design Y11-Y13:
1. Commit to your work during class time and outside of class.
2. Take care of the art room and the supplies.
3. Have work ready for critique days – no excuses or unfinished work.
4. Post your art or process 2 times a week to Instagram (an app).
5. Create the following boards on Pinterest http://www.pinterest.com/ and post 2 images weekly to them:
a. Painting
b. Drawing
c. Design
d. Sculpture
e. Artist and Art Styles
f. Places I would like to visit or have been
6. Y12 and Y13: create a personal Weebly http://www.weebly.com/. Keep it updated.
7. Visit a museum or gallery once a term and turn in questionnaire about your visit.
8. Be involved in community art projects – Y11-Y13 will be in charge of helping organize and run the Whole School Art Exhibition in April (Kindergarten – Y13).
Be passionate about your art. Look at Art. Share your work with others.
For every lesson you will need:
1. Pencil (not mechanical) and easer for every lesson
2. Sketchbook/Workbook
3. Current Artwork
4. A great attitude ready to be creative, learn and experiment with your ideas and art materials
You will also need:
1. A portfolio to keep all your artwork in – it is important to keep your work organized and safe.
2. Personal art materials to work with at home
